How NextCommit writes, sources, and corrects its guides

Who writes the guides

Recruiting guides, timelines, benchmark pages, and comparisons on this site are written by the NextCommit co-founders, Adam Paganelli and Preston Viltz, both former college baseball players who ran their own recruiting outreach. Each guide carries a byline that links to an author page with the writer's background.

AI tools are used to help draft, edit, and format pages. Every published claim, number, date, and price is reviewed by a named author before it goes live, and the author is responsible for it.

Where the numbers come from

Rules, contact periods, signing dates, scholarship limits, and roster caps are sourced from the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA and linked in the Sources section at the end of each guide. Athletic benchmarks come from published showcase and combine data, with the source named in the text or table.

Some pages use aggregated data from the NextCommit platform, such as coach email open and reply rates. That data is anonymized, reported only in aggregate, and never includes message content or personal details. Methodology and known limitations are published alongside the results.

How comparisons are written

Comparison pages describe what a competing service does well before describing where NextCommit differs. Competitor prices are taken from the competitor's own website or public documentation on the date noted in the page, and the page says when a price is not published publicly. NextCommit does not accept payment for placement in any comparison or list.

NextCommit is a paid product with a free plan. Comparison pages say so plainly, and the pricing they quote for NextCommit matches the public pricing page.

Review and update cadence

Every guide shows a published date and a last-updated date. Recruiting calendars and signing-date pages are reviewed before each NCAA calendar year. Benchmark and pricing pages are reviewed at least quarterly. When a rule changes mid-year, such as the roster and scholarship changes that followed the House settlement, affected pages are updated and the update date reflects it.

Corrections

If a number, date, rule, or price on this site is wrong, email support@nextcommit.ai with the page URL and the correction. Verified corrections are made within five business days and the page's last-updated date is changed. Material corrections are noted on the page.
